TrustedSaskatoon.com was started by Sara Wheelwright in 2011 to fill a gap in the Saskatoon marketing and consumer landscape   – a way to find reliable, trustworthy local businesses online. All Trusted Saskatoon businesses ( Burnt Orange is one of them- see our listing here: www.trustedsaskatoon.com/listing.aspx?lid=429 ) are put through the stringent verification process by the Trusted team and they are annually contracted to uphold the 5 Trusted Guarantees:

Gareth, the owner of Burnt Orange Solutions and Sara from Trusted have lots in common as they are both British immigrants who started businesses after moving to Saskatoon. Gareth sat down and had an informal chat with Sara to ask her a few more questions about her business and about Trusted’s IT needs.

G: So what made you take the plunge to start your own business? 

 S: I felt that Saskatoon offered so much opportunity compared to the rat race that is the UK – My initial business came from my personal experience, one that we both share as newcomers to a new city/ country. There were so many new things to adapt to and things I needed, as far as products and services. It was stressful and I was left feeling there was something lacking in the marketplace to help me settle – so I did my research then I made the move to launch  TrustedSaskatoon.com  5 years after I arrived. It’s more than just a resource for newcomers now, it really has become a community inititiative- we support wonderful locally owned integrity driven companies , like Burnt Orange Solutions, and we help them compete in todays fast paced, changing marketplace.

G: How would you describe your IT challenges over the years? 

S: IT issues stress me out –  as they always happen at the worst times! As soon as I moved out of home, into and office and started building a team, I knew I needed a Trusted Saskatooon IT provider. We have grown to a team of 10 now and moved to larger offices downtown. Over the years the experience with you and the team has made our lives EASY – and anything that simplifies my life is apprecaited!
